Training

At McCann we offer a range of courses suitable for the Highway Electrical, Construction and allied industries. Our own experience of operating in these sectors has demonstrated the value of high quality practical training, delivered to our workforce at a time, place and price that meet our business needs.

Our courses can be delivered at your workplace or at our training facility, and should your business be defined by shift patterns, we can offer an out of hours training service to align with these constraints. If you can’t find the training you need below please ask as we are constantly amending and adding to our portfolio of courses.

All courses can be delivered in your workplace or at our training facility. For prices and availability contact Ersoy Errol on 0115 954 0166 or email training@jmccann.co.uk

First Aid courses

Our First Aid training courses are a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical sessions that are designed to develop ability and most importantly practical confidence. The HSE no longer approve First Aid courses. However our courses are fully accredited QCF level 2 & 3 qualifications so you can be sure they meet the legal and moral responsibilities that all employers must adhere to. On completion of training candidates will receive an accredited certificate.

Driver CPC training

McCann are a JAUPT approved Driver CPC training centre. We deliver a range of courses that are fully compliant with DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) and JAUPT requirements to qualify LGV drivers with their 35 hours of Periodic Driver CPC training.

Periodic Driver CPC training is continuous professional development for drivers. It carries on throughout the driver’s career, no matter how infrequently they drive and requires those who drive for a living to complete 35 hours of approved training every 5 years.

On completion of 35 hours of training drivers receive their DQC (Drivers Qualification Card) automatically from DVSA.

We hold weekly open courses in Nottingham but can also deliver courses at client premises (minimum numbers apply).
