Our apprenticeship and trainee schemes are open to everyone, regardless of age or background, as long as it’s a career you’ve never been in. We work with carefully selected independent training providers, colleges and universities, to deliver combined formal learning and on-the-job hands-on experiences.

What to expect in an interview

On submission of your CV:

  • Once the application deadline has passed, you
    will receive an email confirming whether we are
    progressing with your application.
  • We will then arrange a brief introductory phone
    call (10-15 minutes) with our HR Manager to run
    through your application and any initial questions
    you may have.
  • You will then receive an invite to interview if
    McCann are moving forward with your application.
    This will include date, time, location, who the
    interviewers are and what to expect.

What to expect in your interview:

  • The hiring manager will introduce themselves and provide an overview of the position. You will then be asked to discuss your application and experience.
  • McCann use competency-based questions, which will require examples of times when you demonstrated specific behaviours at work.
  • There will also be opportunities to ask questions about the company, team, and position.
  • If you have a physical or neurological difference, we recognise that some aspects of the interview may be more challenging. Please feel free to take notes during the interview for reference. If you require any adjustments, please let the hiring team know before your interview.
  • After your interview, you will receive follow up communications with an offer of employment or a decline in employment. We aim to provide feedback within 5 business days of your interview.
