The client, Lands Improvement Holdings (LIH), appointed a management contractor to serve as a managing agent. This additional step in communication could cause delays due to the procedures involved in liaising through the managing agent. To overcome potential challenges and delays, McCann liaised directly with all suppliers involved in the project, the client, and the managing agent proactively, keeping clear communication at every stage and updating on any process changes. One example of this was during the early stages, some of the construction drawings were incorrect, the process change allowed us to work closely with the designer to alter the drawings, hit key deadlines and work within the agreed project budget.

McCann proudly delivered a complex, multi-stakeholder infrastructure project on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, on time, on budget, and with safety at its core. From managing live public rights of way to coordinating with football fans and multiple suppliers, our team rose to every challenge. By driving collaboration, embracing Early Contractor Involvement, and maintaining clear communication throughout, we kept the project moving and the public protected.
