McCann is proud to announce the successful completion of its Stage 2 PAS 2080 Audit, marking another important milestone in the company’s commitment to sustainability and carbon reduction across the built environment.

PAS 2080:2023, developed by the British Standards Institution, is the leading global standard for carbon management in infrastructure and the built environment. The framework sets out requirements for managing and reducing whole-life carbon emissions through collaboration, early engagement, and integrated decision-making across projects and supply chains.

Achieving certification demonstrates McCann’s ongoing dedication to embedding sustainable practices throughout project delivery and ensuring effective carbon management is integrated into day-to-day operations.

The rigorous Stage 2 audit took place over two intensive days, during which McCann’s systems, processes, and operational procedures were thoroughly assessed. Led by Environmental Manager Eleanor Morton, the audit showcased the company’s ability to effectively identify, record, monitor, and reduce carbon emissions generated throughout scheme delivery.

Importantly, the audit concluded with no non-conformities raised, reflecting the strength of McCann’s environmental management systems and the collaborative efforts of teams across the business.

Speaking about the achievement, Eleanor Morton said: “Achieving certification is a significant milestone for us. It demonstrates that we have a robust and effective carbon management system in place that reflects quality, reliability, and a commitment to continual improvement. More importantly, it reinforces our dedication to reducing carbon across our projects and working collaboratively with our value chain to drive meaningful change.”

PAS 2080 certification is increasingly recognised as a key benchmark for organisations operating within construction and infrastructure sectors, particularly as the industry continues to focus on achieving net zero targets and delivering more sustainable outcomes for clients and communities.

For McCann, this achievement reinforces a wider commitment to innovation, environmental responsibility, and supporting the transition to a lower-carbon future. By aligning operations with internationally recognised best practices, the business is continuing to strengthen its approach to sustainability while helping clients and partners reduce the environmental impact of infrastructure delivery.

As the construction sector evolves, McCann remains committed to driving continuous improvement, fostering collaboration across the supply chain, and delivering projects that support a more sustainable future for the industry and the communities it serves.
