New contract wins totalling £7m for McCann sees Cocoa West and Telford projects launch this year

McCann has been named as a successful contractor for the Cocoa West project and most recently Telford Horton Wood, totalling £7m overall.

Latimer Developments, part of the Clarion Housing Group, awarded us the contract earlier this year to carry out infrastructure works as part of the Cocoa West project on a site in the North of England. 

Construction commenced in April 2022 with a total estimated cost for the works expected to be £4.5m

The site, formerly occupied by food and beverage company Nestle, sits between Wiggington Road and Haxby Road in the historic city of York. 

The overall project is a new development comprising 302 units, with a mix of housing types including housing and two apartment blocks as well as social housing. 

We are responsible for works comprising of earthworks, drainage (including pumping stations and attenuation tanks), all roads, footpaths amenity areas, parking and major section 278 works

Closely following the award of Cocoa West, we have also been awarded the contract for Telford, Horton Wood, Plot 12 for Morris Properties Ltd, valued at £2.56 million. 

We will be working closely with Morris Properties Ltd in the delivery of civil engineering enabling works, including earth works, drainage and attenuation, car parking and amenity areas, minor roads and preparation of the bases for industrial units
