The person appointed to the role shall be working on LV connections to DNO/IDNO networks associated with unmetered supplies, generally in the public highway or utilities environment. It is important to note that this is a physically demanding role and will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Brief description of the responsibilities attached to the role
General – Responsible for LV connections to DNO/IDNO networks associated with unmetered supplies.
Technical – Duties will include:
- Looking after all equipment that has been issued for their use and ensuring that it is used correctly for its intended purpose.
- Complying with safety instructions, working procedures, risk assessments permits to work and reporting procedures.
Financial – Ensure all time worked is reported on timesheets to the appointed line manager.
Decision Making – Required to frequently exercise independent judgement to specific to the technical responsibilities below.
Recruitment and Training – Ensuring that you only use equipment, plant or vehicles for which you have been trained and are competent.
Management / Leadership – Work with your manager(s) to ensure people perform properly and meet
with company objectives.
Management Systems – Commitment to the ongoing development, implementation and improvement of the company Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems.
Health and Safety – Responsible for their own H&S and the H&S of any person who may be affected by their acts or omissions. Relevant Experience
A minimum of 2 year’s proven experience as an LV cable jointer in the utilities sector within contracting industry.

- Excavation of joint holes,

We are seeking a vigilant and responsible individual to join our team as a Night Scout across Suffolk County. The primary responsibility of the Night Scout will be to drive designated routes throughout the county during nighttime hours, identifying and reporting any instances of streetlights or other public lighting fixtures that are not functioning properly. Key Responsibilities:

J McCann currently has an opportunity for a HIAB Operative to join our North West Delivery Team. Your role will be to assist with the installation of Road Lighting, Traffic Signs, and other associated equipment, including excavation, cable laying, installation and the removal of columns, signposts, and feeder pillars.
Please note that the successful candidate will need to be available for 24hr callouts on a rota basis to attend emergency works, where required.

Required Critical Behaviours
As Site Supervisor you will be responsible for:
- To oversee all installation works associated with the lighting and civil engineering aspects of large motorway systems upgrading works.
- To direct teams covering the from construction to commissioning of lighting, communications and civil engineering works.
- To ensure that all site works are conducted in a safe manner.
- To manage the production of documentation in respect of the H&S file, handover documentation and other paperwork required by the contract.
