We’ve continued to grow our lighting division with the appointment of experienced Operations Manager, Liam Mazurke

We have strengthened our lighting division with the appointment of Operations Manager Liam Mazurke, to bolster our Calderdale Street Lighting and LED project in Yorkshire.

Liam joins us with over 20 years’ experience behind him in electrical engineering, spanning roles such as Street Lighting Electrician and Contacts Manager with companies including Bradford Council, Acorn Lighting Services and most recently Dynniq. He has also successfully studied for and achieved an electrical qualification through Huddersfield College, as well as completing various HEA courses during his career.

Day-to-day at McCann, Liam is responsible for the continued successful operation of our £25m LED street lighting project in Calderdale, covering the installation and maintenance of over 30,000 individual units.

When Liam discovered that the Operations Manager position for Calderdale was available, he knew that he wanted to apply and become part of the team, after hearing great things about the company previously.

“McCann has a clear focus and drive to constantly improve its lighting solutions – which is something I am proud to now be a part of,” said Liam.

“Everybody has been very welcoming and helpful, it is great to be a part of a team with such a ‘can do’ attitude,” he added.

Local Authority Business Director, Tiz Gibson, is looking forward to working with Liam and is confident that he will work efficiently as part of the team at Calderdale – allowing us to build upon our reputation as a trusted provider of lighting solutions.

“Liam has a wealth of experience as well as several major lighting and electrical qualifications behind him – arming him with the required experience and knowledge for the role,” said Tiz.
