McCann named as sponsor of the 2022 APSE Innovation Awards
We’re delighted to announce that we will be attending this year’s Association of Public Service Excellence (APSE) Highways, Street Lighting and Winter Maintenance Seminar, while also sponsoring the event’s prestigious annual Innovation Awards.
One of the highlights in the industry calendar, this two-day seminar welcomes key decision makers from local authorities and civil and electrical engineering firms from across the UK. It also provides an opportunity for attendees to hear from keynote speakers and take part in discussions around important challenges facing the industry across areas including highways and roads, street lighting, winter maintenance and traffic management.
A dedicated trade exhibition area will be in place for exhibitors to display and demonstrate products and services, while also raising their profile and networking with industry peers in search of solutions to drive new innovations and efficiencies within local authorities.
The 2022 event will take place between the 24th and 25th March and will be hosted at Blackpool’s Village Hotel.
As well as talks, networking and a dedicated exhibition zone, the event also plays host to APSE’s coveted Innovation Awards, which celebrate “Outstanding local councils that use innovative ideas and solutions to tackle the current challenges facing their frontline services.”
The 2022 awards will cover three categories including ‘Winter Maintenance and Winter Resilience Services’, ‘Street lighting’ and ‘Highways Maintenance Services’. Entrants must demonstrate evidence of problems or challenges that have been faced, as well as innovative approaches to solve these challenges. Submissions should also include evidence of results that have been achieved from implementing new innovations.
McCann has been a member of APSE since 2018 and is set to exhibit across both days, while also confirming its place as the sponsor of this year’s showpiece Innovation Awards.
Speaking about McCann’s attendance at the 2022 APSE Highways, Street Lighting and Winter Maintenance Seminar, the company’s Strategic Highways Director Clive Leadbetter said, “We are proud to have been a member of APSE for a number of years now, and we always find the Winter Maintenance Seminar both thought provoking and informative,”
He continues, “It presents a fantastic forum for key decision makers across the industry to come together and discuss the important topics of the day while sharing ideas and innovations for the betterment of the UK’s infrastructure,”
“We’re delighted to be able to pledge our support to this year’s event by not only exhibiting, but also sponsoring the Innovation Awards. We’re very much looking forward to what promises to be a busy event schedule while also sharing ideas and celebrating the great work taking place within our local authorities.”
