Ninth consecutive RoSPA Gold Award sees McCann internationally recognised for its commitment to health and safety

We have received international recognition from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), after securing the coveted RoSPA Gold Medal for the ninth consecutive year as a result of our commitment to health and safety excellence.

The esteemed RoSPA Awards programme is celebrating its 68th year in 2024 as the UK’s largest and most impactful health and safety programme.

With almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries, impacting over seven million employees, RoSPA shines a light on continuous improvement and excellence in health and safety.

We have now retained our ‘gold’ status for nine consecutive years, securing our reputation as a firm dedicated to achieving the highest professional standards in health and safety.

By earning a RoSPA Award, organisations not only receive recognition for their accomplishments, but become part of a legacy that values dedication to high safety standards, the well-being of individuals, and a commitment to excellence.

A special presentation ceremony will be held at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Park Lane, London, with a daytime award ceremony. Our team will be joined by award winners from a variety of sectors and industries in celebration of the country’s outstanding achievements.

John McCann, Managing Director, is delighted to see the business recognised by RoSPA for a ninth consecutive year as the business continues to set a standard for fellow civil engineering firms to aspire towards.

“For our team to have secured a ninth consecutive RoSPA Gold Award means that we are leading the way in terms of health, safety and wellbeing best practice,” says John.

“From site operatives to head office staff, we all take our responsibility for keeping each other and the general public safe, incredibly seriously. Collectively, ensuring that we continue to achieve excellence in health, safety and wellbeing is our highest priority,”

John continues, “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the entire McCann team. Without a strong, consistent collective effort across the organisation, we could not maintain such remarkably high standards on a regular basis.”

Speaking about this year’s awards, Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said, “Workplace accidents don’t just pose financial risks and operational disruptions; they significantly impact the quality of life for individuals. This is why acknowledging and rewarding excellent safety performance is vital.

“We congratulate McCann for winning a prestigious RoSPA Award and showing an unwavering commitment to keeping employees, clients and customers safe from accidental harm and injury.”
