McCann ‘commended’ in Employer of the Year category at this year’s CIHT Annual Awards Ceremony

We are delighted to have been ‘commended’ in the Employer of the Year category in this year’s prestigious Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) Annual Awards Ceremony.

Last week, London’s Marriott Hotel in Mayfair played host to an evening of celebrations as the Annual CIHT Awards Ceremony returned after a three-year hiatus. The prestigious event commemorated notable contributions made by teams and individuals across the highways and transportation industry and also offered guests the opportunity to network and enjoy an evening of dazzling entertainment.

While we didn’t come home with the Employer of the Year Award, we did receive special recognition by being ‘commended’ for our entry in this very competitive category. Recognised for our wide-ranging Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme and recent investment into an increase in Mental Health Champions and Mental Health First Aiders, we have safely established ourselves as a prominent employer within the industry.

Managing Director – John McCann – is delighted to see the business recognised in this coveted category following significant investment in our people and their development as part of the company’s growth strategy.

“To see McCann recognised and commended in the Employer of the Year category shows how we have grown to become a real force within the industry,”

John continues, “Over many years, we have taken the time to fine-tune our processes and develop gold-standard training programmes which develop and support our people. This is always our number-one priority,”

“When employees feel supported, listened to and championed, they feel a greater sense of belonging and motivation to carry out their work to the best of their abilities. We want to continue to invest in our passionate team because without them, McCann wouldn’t be the business it is today,” he adds,

“It is an honour for McCann to be ‘commended’ and we endeavour to continue to provide our wonderful employees with a workplace that supports their mental health and champions their personal and professional development throughout their career.”
