A sustainable future for lighting

Recent projects awarded under the Highways Agency’s CMF 2 Framework Contract have seen McCann’s actively supporting the HA’s Sustainability Action Plan. Our recently completed street lighting works between Junctions 26 – 27 of the M62 being one of the earliest schemes to be delivered with a ‘designed in’ midnight to 5am shutdown facility, which along with delivering significant energy savings, recognises the limited safety benefits of lighting  when traffic levels are low.  Further long term energy saving will also accrue from our works on Junction 22 of the M6 where LED lanterns are being deployed, for the first time, by the Agency for lighting the on and off slip roads of this busy junction.
