McCann named as one of four shortlisted firms for the CIHT Employer of the Year Award
We are delighted to have been announced as one of four shortlisted businesses for the Employer of the Year Award ahead of this year’s Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) annual awards ceremony taking place in September.
After a three-year hiatus, the Annual CIHT Awards return to celebrate the inspiring contributions of those working in the highways and transportation industry – offering guests the opportunity to network and enjoy an evening of entertainment.
The prestigious event will be held on the evening of 7th September 2022 in London, welcoming the industry’s finest through the doors of the Marriott Hotel in Mayfair.
We have been announced as one of four shortlisted firms for the Employer of the Year Award – which recognises employers that have made an “outstanding effort in engaging with their employees and the wider sector”. The three other firms shortlisted for the award are Momentum Transport Consultancy, Balfour Beatty and Kier.
Judges will consider how the shortlisted firms have made a positive contribution within their organisation, the industry and society by investing in people through health and wellbeing, skills and training, and equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives. They will also be looking for evidence of how well the initiative(s) have been embedded within the organisation and its culture.
Managing Director John McCann is delighted to see McCann shortlisted and that the company’s dedication to the wellbeing of its staff has been recognised within the industry.
“At McCann, we have invested in cultivating a working environment which puts the interests of employees at the heart of our business model,”
“When joining our organisation, people become part of the McCann family. We are a company that truly cares and we want to see our employees thrive and develop with the help of our extended support network,”
John continues, “We offer extensive support to our employees through various mental health initiatives and ensure that comprehensive formal training programmes are available across all levels of the business. We are committed to developing the people that work within our organisation, while keeping them motivated and passionate. Our people are at the very heart of everything that we do and without them, we would not have achieved the successes we have.”
