A bumper month for McCann, as two are named ‘Employee of the Month’ for September
September was tough when it came to choosing our Employee of the Month. Due to the outstanding work carried out by two key members of staff, we felt we had to present both of them with the award. We’ve named Steve Lunn and Gary Sisson winners for September for high standards of work across many aspects of their day-to-day roles.
Steve and Gary have demonstrated exceptional dedication to health and safety over recent weeks, with both receiving awards and £25 worth of vouchers from Skanska for their proactive approach to health and safety.
As part of their continual high standards, Steve and Gary have ensured their vehicles are always clean, with all defects reported, as well as writing the most observation cards during the month. They have also proactively reported changes on site, avoided near misses and incidents, ensured that they have all relevant PPE and paperwork during audits, and volunteered to represent McCann at the Skanska voice meetings in the future.
Their commitment to health and safety and continual high standards of work has been recognised by many at McCann – resulting in them both winning the September Employee of the Month Award.
As a thank you and a sign of our appreciation for their hard work, we are pleased to present both Steve and Gary with £50 worth of high street shopping vouchers.
After receiving his award, Steve said “naturally when I am going about my day-to-day work, I am not thinking about awards, but it is great to be recognised by both McCann and Skanska for my work and I would like to say a big thank you to those who voted for me”.
Gary added “I would also like to say thanks to McCann for being awarded Employee of the Month. Both myself and Steve are very grateful that our work is recognised and it is always a nice feeling when you know that you are doing your job to a high standard, both safely and efficiently”.
Speaking about Steve and Gary’s achievements, Ben Feltham, Lean/Quality Manager added “I would like to congratulate both Steve and Gary for their hard work, dedication and continual commitment to health and safety. Both are a credit to the company”.
